I've always had decent skin, but the last year or so, I'm guessing because of the hormone changes, my skin has revolted. I did some research and got some free samples and I finally found a routine that works for me and I just wanted to share. I've also got my everyday make-up picks below too.
Cleanser: Yes to Cucumbers facial towelettes

I use these in the morning after a shower and at night before bed. Not harsh at all and remove waterproof eye make-up. I love the light cucumber scent.
Moisturizer: St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer
Feels like silk going on. Absorbs quickly and not greasy at all!
Acne Treatment: Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment
Now this is my secret weapon. I apply it with a clean Q-tip around and on the blemish, let it dry. It dries pink ( like calamine lotion) and has a slightly funny smell (it's made of sulfur) but when you wake up, the blemish will be almost, if not totally gone. This works on cystic acne too.
This comes in 2 strengths, regular and extra strength. It's a two part treatment, you apply the first pad with treatment, wait for two minutes, and apply the second pack. It stings a bit the first few times, but goes away within a couple minutes and doesn't leave any redness. I used the regular strength 5 days in a row and then the extra strength 3 days in a row, and my skin was completely transformed. This product is pricey, so I only use it 2-3 times a week now, but it makes me feel like I can go out without make-up, which I NEVER do.
Now for make-up.... I love make-up, I love trying new make-up and experimenting. I've got a lot more that I love than what I'm listing here, but these are my everyday staples.
This primer has a wonderful finish to it and makes your face look better, just using this alone. It's a bit pricey as well, but if you are conservative, you can make it last several months.
Foundation: The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals Foundation
I actually tried this on a whim, while killing time in the airport on the way to my sister's house. It's a cream to powder finish and it goes on so smooth. I set it with a little powder, but it doesn't really need a lot.
This blush is a weird texture, somewhere between a cream and cream to powder, I put it on after my foundation, and I've loved how natural it looks. I really need to try the other colors.
Bronzer: Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
I actually got this as a sample size and it's still going strong. This is my favorite bronzer for two reasons, 1. It is NOT shiny. I don't like when I apply bronzer and I look bathed in shimmer. 2. This is a lighter colored bronzer. I am fair skinned and even with a tan, I'm still not that dark. Most other bronzers I've tried are too dark for me. This is buildable and you can add more color if you want, but one application is the perfect color for me.
I actually found this when I was shopping with my mom for some eye make-up for her. She wanted something pretty, but not too shimmery. This has 3 matte and 3 shimmer shadows, great for everyday. I usually use the middle two (top and bottom) all over with the left two for a crease. I use the matte brown as a quick liner. The mini brush is also nice, with a shadow brush on one side and liner on the other. Great for taking on a trip, it's all inclusive.
Mascara: The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara
Straight forward and simple - Volume without clump. :)
Soft pink, matte. I like it better than a straight forward nude, but it look very natural. If you want something with a little more pop, you can add some lip gloss over it. Ryan doesn't like kissing me with lip gloss on and it's really windy in Rexburg, so I don't wear gloss too often.

It's been a while since I've done an update on our little family.
We are in the week before finals and the week before we move.
Yep, we like to JAM pack it all in to one crazy week. Also, Zoe is on spring break this week. Yeah....I'm not 100% confident we are going to make it.
We had a fantastic Easter, our first holiday with just our little family.
Here is Zoe with her prized egg she dyed and wrote her name on at school.
I'm so excited that I *almost* have my first semester done! Going back to school was a big leap for me but I'm so glad I did. Zoe and I have had a great time the past couple weeks, enjoying the sunshine. We've clocked a ton of hours outside and even gotten a little sunburned.
We are sad to leave our Rexburg friends, especially since summer here is one of the best times to be in Rexburg, but we are looking forward to this summer in Utah, enjoying family and old friends, and the fruits from my Grandparents amazing garden!

Hey everyone! We are just on the blog hop train lately, and this one also has a giveaway!
I wanted to share my layouts from this month which both mean a lot to me. Both my layouts this month used sketches from the collection.
This first page is of my sweet new niece, who is now over a month old. But when I got to talk these pictures she was just days old and spent hours sleeping quietly in my arms. A gift I couldn't pay enough for.
I used lots of my stash for this page and wanted to keep a pink theme going on. I used gold and pink mist on the background as well.
This page was made with both the sketches and the story starters. My uncle, Kevin took this picture of my grandmother's gravestone. I was very close to my grandmother and still get sad thinking about how much I would love to have her here with us still.
The story starters are one of my FAVORITE parts of Simple Scrapper, each month they make me think about things I might now have scrapbooked and help me put more journaling on my pages.

As I've been getting ready for our move in a few weeks, I've been cleaning out drawers and files etc, finding lots of old memories and fun pictures.
I found some pictures I had forgotten existed, some I was desperately searching for, and some I needed to see today. It always amazes me at how even someone like me, who regularly scrapbooks, who is very conscious about taking pictures and making sure to write stories down, I still have so many pictures that don't have a home.
But even still, I'm so glad I have them. We have moved every 8 month for the past 3 years and each move, I do the same thing, cleaning out the drawers and files, and get to relive those memories and I adore it. So this is your resident scrapbooker and photo-taker, reminding you to take pictures - oh! and make sure you're in them.
It had been awhile since I had taken a picture of Zoe and I, so while we were both in stripes yesterday, I snapped this picture with the self-timer.

Today, I've got my very first video tutorial for you. It's my first time doing something like this, and I probably recorded it 25 times to make sure I didn't forget anything. And now onto other things.
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this yesterday, but I've been playing around with some digital stamp brushes, and I feel like I've just tapped into a huge reserve of craftiness I have not explored.
I used brushes from the November kit last year which is no longer available, but they have the Here & There set currently available and the anchor is almost the exact same., along with other fun shapes and phrases.
I also played around with the PNG files in Silhouette and made some print and cuts. I'm working on a video tutorial on how to make both the patterned paper and the fold-over print and cuts (like the one below)
I made this anchor tag specifically for this layout of my dear friend Aly's little boy. Connor makes for a fantastic pirate. And the title is thanks to my sister Jenni. She actually didn't say it - but it's something I think she would have said, given the right circumstance :)

Last weekend, Zoe and I ventured to Idaho Falls to the Museum of Idaho to visit the carousel exhibit. The museum isn't very big, but the pieces were so beautiful.
Zoe had fun looking at all the different animals, and it was REALLY hard for her not to touch. Lots of pictures below. Enjoy!

This page is using the new Here and There line from Studio Calico. Perfect for all those travel layouts. This was about the longest road trip of my life, when I was moving from Oklahoma to California before Ryan and I got married. The labels are from Studio Calico's digital offerings, printed on sticker paper and cut with my Silhouette - Seriously love how easy that is!
Ah, NYC. I am aching to go back. Ryan and I talk about going back a lot, although he has never been. It was one of the best trips I've ever been on. This next time it would be fun to see some more shows and eat at a few nicer establishments, oh and visit my dear friend Keshet!
